Patients Under
The Age Of 16
We respectfully request that all children under the age of 16 attend the surgery
with an adult, unless there is some particular reason why they wish to attend
alone. We are naturally happy to discuss confidential issues such as family planning
with those under 16, though we are required to assess that patients maturity
and competence to act on advice given.
Staff Training
The surgery is closed one Wednesday afternoon per month (from 12 noon) for all
staff training. Wakefield and Pontefract GPs On-call cover emergency calls during
this period. This monthly all-staff training has been on-going since November
2000 and is a district-wide initiative with the aim of improving the quality of
total patient care.
Freedom Of Information - Publication Scheme
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 obliges the practice to produce a Publication
Scheme. A Publication Scheme is a guide to the classes of information the practice
intends to routinely make available.
The scheme is available from reception.
