The surgery employs a highly dedicated team of receptionists, administration and
housekeeping staff who ensure the day to day running of the surgery is as smooth
as possible.
The reception team will help you make appointments, obtain your repeat prescriptions
and advise and assist you with any general enquiries you may have. All staff are
aware of the critical importance of confidentiality when working in a doctors
surgery and are required to work very strictly to rules of confidentiality. This
is for your protection.
Health Visitors
The health visitors can offer practical support and advice on a variety of health-related
topics. They are nurses who have undertaken specialist training in child health
and development, health promotion and education. Health visitors support parents
and young families by running well baby clinics, a postnatal support group and
offering advice on everyday difficulties such as teething, sleeping, feeding and
managing difficult behaviour. The health visitors also carry out the routine childhood
immunisations.
District Nursing Team
We have a dedicated team of district nurses who perform a number of roles both
within the community and at the practice premises. These include removal of sutures,
wound care, ear syringing and care of chronically ill and terminally ill patients.
Community Midwife
Full maternity services are provided for expectant mothers in conjunction with
our midwife. Home confinements can be arranged, but only after doctor and midwife
assessment.
