And Bank Holidays
At times when the surgery is not open (ie after 6.00 pm Monday to Friday, from
midday Saturday until Monday morning or bank holidays), cover is provided by Wakefield
and Pontefract GPs On-call. This is an emergency service run by the GPs
who work in this area and our doctors take part in this service. We receive a
report on all patient contacts with the service so this can be entered in your
notes.
If you require urgent medical assistance when the surgery is closed, please ring
the surgery on 01924 274123 and have a pen and paper ready. A recorded message
will give you an emergency contact telephone number. When you ring this number
you may be asked to attend the emergency centre in Wakefield or given verbal telephone
advice. If it is thought that a home visit is required, this will be decided by
the doctors on duty at the emergency centre and arranged accordingly.
DISABLED
ACCESS
The main and branch surgery have disabled access. We are limited to the amount
of alterations we are able to undertake due to the restrictions of the current
building. We hope to address this when developing new premises.
